The Current vesion of Wood Struct is able to design the wood members such as Joist Swan Lumber, Beam Sawn Timber, Glulam Beam, Built-Up beam, NLT, GLT, CLT, Stud Wall, Post, Column, Tension memember and Beam-column member.

Joist Sawn Lumber Design
Design single span floor joists for the following conditions:

Joists spacing = 400mm

Joists span = 4m

Specified dead load = 1.5 kPa (include partitions)

Specified live load =2.4 kPa (commercial use and occupancy)

Dry service condition

Untreated

Fully laterally supported by subfloor

Use D.Fir-L , No.1/No.2 Sawn Lumber.
WoodStruct Calculation:
After running the WoodStruct software click Joist design toolbar.
In the Joist Sawn Lumber form, select Design radio button, enter 4, for joist span and select No.1/No.2 for grade categories. Press Joist Design/Check to design or check of current joist. As it depicted in this picture the results calculation is shown in the calculation section of the form.
By clicking print button, the result sheet will be printed on a pdf file as shown below:
