In this series of videos, I have talked about programming for wood design based on Canadian code of CSA O86 2019. In the current post I have discussed about design and programming on Lumber Joists, Sawn Timbers, and Glulam. I will talk about the design flowchart for lumber joists, sawn timbers, and glulam. The flowcharts are the backbone of programming. Then, we will study three examples and calculate each of these examples using three methods: Wood Design Manual selection tables, hand calculations, and software calculations.
